𝘼 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮…  Witchcraft was widely blamed for AIDS as it swept over Uganda.  Men and women died by the thousands. Often the ill were abandoned by their families, some left in banana fields to die. Some were dropped off in urban areas to fend for themselves.  The Holy Spirit moved His people to be the love of Christ, to care for these in deep misery.  Sacrificial love, fearing neither witchcraft nor infection, was required. Many came to see Christ as Savior.

Too weak to sit upright through the usual Sunday morning worship service, a more laid-back Saturday worship began. Church members helped them come.  Lying on the benches, their thin arms waved to the music.  They loved the prayers and Scripture.  All wanted to speak testimony to the goodness of the Lord.  Worship continued for hours.  Church members helped them back to their places.

Their worship was fervent.  Their joy was deep. They had met Jesus who would never abandon them.  YET, many of us who helped them had another lesson to learn before that fervency of worship and depth of joy became ours.  Story from:  Catch Your Breath

Work on it:  Read Luke slowly.  Seek to know Jesus.  hat was He like, how did He move, speak, touch others?  Note: Working out with others is more effective—like exercise at the gym.
